Mattress Firm Wins Gold at the 2022 North American SABRE Awards

Un-Junk Your Sleep Truck Tour Recognized as The Best Public Relations Campaign in the Home and Furniture Category

Houston, TX – May 17, 2022 – Mattress Firm, the nation’s largest mattress specialty retailer, today announced it was named the winner of a Gold SABRE Award for its Un-Junk Your Sleep Truck Tour in the 2022 North American SABRE Awards presented by PRovoke Media.

The SABRE Awards is a highly recognized public relations awards program, dedicated to benchmarking the best public relations work from across the globe. SABRE, which stands for Superior Achievement in Branding Reputation and Engagement, announced winners in categories such as consumer products, entertainment and home and furniture at its 23rd annual ceremony in New York City in May.

Mattress Firm’s winning submission highlighted the exceptional results of the brand’s Un-junk Your Sleep Truck Tour. In July 2021, the Un-Junk Your Sleep truck set out on a mission to rid Americans of Junk Sleep. The truck visited the homes of sleep-deprived consumers in New York City, Detroit, and Houston, to help them find the perfect mattress. The Un-Junk Your Sleep team, complete with Mattress Firm Sleep Experts®, arrived at each winners’ homes and provided personal junk sleep consultations, then swapped out their old mattresses and pillows for brand new ones.

The 2022 North America SABRE Awards are the result of an exhaustive research process involving more than 350 campaigns on its shortlist, selected from among more than 2,000 entries. The campaigns were evaluated by a jury of industry leaders. The Un-Junk Your Sleep Truck Tour was up against stiff competition in the home and furniture category. The campaign beat out four other finalists for the Gold award.
