Steve Rusing is President of Mattress Firm, where he is responsible for driving Mattress Firm’s long-term strategic vision. Prior to leading the Mattress Firm organization, Rusing spent more than 30 years in the bedding industry, where his broad experience spanned sales leadership, product development, merchandising and retailer advertising . Most recently, Rusing served as Executive Vice President, President U.S. Sales for Tempur Sealy from 2020 through 2025. Rusing started his multi-decade career in the bedding industry at Sealy in 1992, and held various account management roles with increasing responsibility. From 1996 until 2002, he served as District Sales Manager. In 2002, he was appointed Vice President of Sales for the West Region until 2006. From 2006 to 2007, he served as Vice President of National Accounts. In 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President of National Accounts and held the same role at Tempur Sealy starting in 2013. From 2016 until 2020, Rusing served as Senior Vice President, U.S. Sales for Tempur Sealy.
