Sam Bennett

Executive Vice President and Head of Marketing

Sam Bennett is Mattress Firm’s Executive Vice President and Head of Marketing. She joined the company in 2020 and leads the planning, development and execution of Mattress Firm’s marketing, advertising and brand strategy – including content, creative and social media. Bennett also oversees consumer insights, customer relationship management and the company’s media strategies.

Bennett is a tenured Marketing leader with a deep background in retail and nearly 20 years of experience. She began her career agency side, working with a variety of retailers, including Wal-Mart, Walgreens, LL Bean and Marshalls. Following a decade of agency experience, Sam went client-side, and her work has been a key part of the turnarounds at both Best Buy and Barnes and Noble.

Since joining Mattress Firm, she has helped to articulate and operationalize the company’s purpose, launch and grow the sleep.com brand, launch the company’s first multi-cultural marketing campaign and led the strategy and execution of the award-winning brand campaign, Junk Sleep.

Bennett has a Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University.
