- Leading Retailer Celebrates National Career Day with Live Hire Events in 29 Cities
HOUSTON (Jan. 22, 2018) – On Tuesday, Jan. 23, Mattress Firm will celebrate its third annual National Career Day by hosting live hire events in 29 cities across the country. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to interview on-site and the top candidates will be extended offers on-the-spot.

Our National Career Day gives candidates an opportunity to experience that firsthand.”
In total, the nation’s leading specialty bedding retailer aims to hire more than 250 candidates on-the-spot, filling various sales and operations roles in the following markets:
- Grand Rapids, MI
- Long Island, NY (Nassau County)
- Manchester, N.H.
- New York City
- Portland, OR
- Princeton, NJ
- San Antonio
- Toledo, OH
- Virginia Beach
- Washington, D.C.
- Watchung, NJ
To qualify, candidates must have either five years of sales or customer service experience, a bachelor’s degree or previous military experience. The retailer’s hiring event will give prospective employees an opportunity to meet-and-greet with current associates and learn more about the Mattress Firm culture and comprehensive employee training program. Mattress Firm offers associates extensive training, competitive pay, tuition reimbursement and a comprehensive benefits package, among other perks.
In total, Mattress Firm invests about $27,000 in training and development for each new hire and every new employee receives nearly 190 hours of first-year training and development. Additionally, nearly 90 percent of Mattress Firm’s leadership and management roles are filled by promotions within the company.
