Chief Human Capital Officer

Larry Fultz is the Chief Human Capital Officer for Mattress Firm, overseeing the Company’s human resources operations. His areas of responsibility include Change Management, Culture, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards.

Fultz has more than 40 years of leadership, retail and human resources experience. Prior to his role at Mattress Firm, he held various leadership positions for The Limited including the SVP and Chief Human Resources Officer and then later the EVP and Chief Operations Officer. Fultz’s has been a CHRO for almost 25 years and has worked with various private equity firms. His career includes creating high performance teams and driving top line profitable sales growth at Vanguard Health Systems, Victoria’s Secret, Cintas, Lexis Nexis and Whirlpool.

Fultz is a member of The Sierra Institute, an organization for Fortune 1000 CHRO leaders and has been a guest presenter at Society for Human Resource Management, Gallup and various universities including, The Ohio State University and Vanderbilt University. He is an active supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Center and Mattress Firm Foster Kids.

Fultz holds a B.S. and MBA in Business Management with a minor in Finance from the University of Dayton. He lives in Houston with his wife and is a proud father and grandfather to his three children and 2 grandchildren.
