Steve Rusing is President and Chief Executive Officer of Mattress Firm, where he leads the company’s long-term strategy and vision. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the bedding industry, with expertise spanning sales leadership, product development, merchandising and retail advertising. Before joining Mattress Firm, Rusing served as Executive Vice President and President of U.S. Sales at Tempur Sealy from 2020 to early 2025. He began his career at Sealy in 1992 and advanced through a series of account management and sales leadership roles, including District Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales for the West Region, Vice President of National Accounts, and Senior Vice President of National Accounts. Following the formation of Tempur Sealy in 2013, he continued as Senior Vice President of National Accounts and later served as Senior Vice President of U.S. Sales from 2016 to 2020.
